Description
With its solid aluminum construction and phenolic resin ball, this head is the ideal support for all traditional or digital small or medium format cameras. It features a separate fast action ratchet lever for the 360 degree pan and an easy to grip locking knob for +90 -90 degree tilt movements. This Version Comes equipped with a 3271 quick release 3157N camera plate system with a secondary safety catch and two spirit levels for precise levelling on both vertical or horizontal axis. Camera plate has 1/4-20" male thread. Head to tripod attachment is 3/8" female.

Strengths: Holds anything you can put on your camera. Will support all Canon telephoto or zoom lenses.
Weakness: Quick release plate isn't always quick. It sometimes tends to stick and be difficult to release.
Good...but aggravating when you want to change lenses or take the camera off of tripod. With the Bogan 3021B, this is a strong combonation. Perhaps a bit of overkill but it won't fail you when you need it.

Strengths: Very solid and looks tough! Dual bubble levels are very handy. Smooth operation all throughout.
Weakness: The Rapid connect 4 system is a little bit big so... it's a bit heavy.
I needed the panorama control and bubble levels and this is the only one that has them. I find the RC2 plate very small and doesn't have the bubble levels and so I opted for this RC4 system which is actually way bigger and protrudes out the camera bottom. The mechanism is very smooth and precise, with no wiggle or looseness observed. The quick release is a bit tough to slide but I prefer than to...
