I am using this lens with a full-frame camera, the 5D, and it is amazing. Pictures are sharp and exhibit the cool fisheye effect. Although there should be some light fall-off in the corners, it's difficult to notice in practice. The lens focuses very quickly and feels nice and solid--even the lens cap is made of metal. Unfortunately, that brings up one of the problems: the lens cap doesn't clip...
Strengths: full frame, sharp lens
Weakness: paralex
Build quality looks good for a lens this vintage. Autofocus is a little noisy---I am use to USM. Would prefer lens cap more securely fit as lens needs protetion.
Strengths: compact,cool effect, sharp
Weakness: has not found one yet
I am a wedding photographer, so I decided it was time to buy the fisheye lens, since it came into style again. So few pictures in one event and they came out very crisp and sharp. Also, I have to admit after shooting with the 70-200 and even the 24-70, it is a nice break to shoot with this light lens. Also, my clients loved the effect.
Strengths: great for closeups in addition to getting a wide angle shot outside
Weakness: none yet
so far this lens has been great for us. we bouhgt it to use on a our trip to hawaii for some of our pictures there and it worked great. i can't think of a better lens to use for the wide angle shots i wanted to take and what i wanted to do with them. definately a must have.

The fisheye lens to get
Strengths: 1. 180 degree of view 2. Image quality 3. Super light weight
Weakness: 1. No USM 2. Noisy 3. Very dangerous front; lens cap is useless and easy to come off.
First of all, I would like to say this is the fisheye lens to get if you ever need one. It's inexpensive comparing to all L lens that canon made. However, I would say the image quality is up to the L lens standards. The downside of the lens is the design. The front element is very dangerous as it cannot be applied with any UV protection filters. The lens cap is really just a cap without any...
