I bought this slave device to trigger my Vivitar 285HV I bought in March 2007 (the new kind). It was unable to trigger those flashes. I am not sure about the reason, someone said that the trigger voltage in those new flashes is very low for this device, but I was unable to confirm that since there is no documentation/ support available.
