Strengths: It makes life easier when using multiple flashes.
Weakness: Getting use to the functions.
This is great for outdoor portraits when needing a little more light on a subject. I just need to familiarize myself with using it a bit more. I highly recommend getting one of these for all Canon users.
Strengths: Canon name ....canon quality
Weakness: only weakness is the price, but you know what they say ....you get what you pay for!

Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2
Strengths: Works very good inside a building the flash could be pointing in any direction and the unit still received the signal from and to the flash unit.
Weakness: Outside it was not as good at catching the signal to and from the unit if the area was an open field and the flash was positioned be hide the transmitter and angled away.
The manual could have been better and had examples on settings. I am not a professional so I find it harder to get full use of all the functionality the unit has.
