B&W 77 mm Circular Polarizer Multi-Coated (MC) Glass filter - Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.

B+W filters come with the highest quality glass and it shows in the picture quality. What else can be said, if you want no picture distortion, you need to pay the extra money for B+W.

it been a while waiting for sunny days, so i havent used it in the brightest conditions, but even on darker days it does still create a subtle effect and has a very soft gradient. i would say that using this on ultra wide glass may not work that well. may want to try the slim model in that case.

Glass quality so great that would eliminate reflection that can cause bad picture. This filter good for outdoor photography (like beach, mountain, waters). Perfect companion for good quality lenses.
