Strengths: Tons of gadgets, nice and solid design, MPEG-4 video (curiously, sound goes off when zooming while recording video - I guess that's because the lens mechanism is really noisy AND slow)
Weakness: Bad quality pics, especially in low-light shots (purple fringing). Battery takes hours to charge.
Ok, I got this camera and the very next day I RETURNED IT. If you want a metal box full of hardly useful gadgets for making outside family pics, go on and get a Samsung L60. But for me it's nonsense to have 6 -mediocre- megapixels (that pixelate and become poor when printed or viewed on a screen at a reasonable size. Strengths: slim, compact design,
Weakness: none so far
samsung has a lot of low end cameras but this one is not. This camera is very slim and portable. It is not the best but it is enough for personal use. not bad optical and digital zoom and high resolution. Everything seems good now.
Strengths: small size, 6M pixel with 3x optical zoom
Weakness: poor picture quality
Got this camera at a cheap price. It a nice 6MP pocket DC with optical zoom. But the picture quality is poor. Don't know why it's counted as 6MP. Anyway, it's just a beginner's DC.

Good Robust Camera
Strengths: Good Construction/Ergonomics, MPEG4 Video, Easy Menu Navigation, Good Outdoor Image Quality
Weakness: Weak Flash, No Shutter or Aperture Priority Modes
I've always been a fan of Canon cameras. In the past 30 years, I've own a dozen of Canon film/digital P/S and SLRs. On the other hand, I've owned a Samsung DLP TV for over a year and have been happy with it. When this camera went on sale, I decided to give it a try. First of all, I really liked the black metal construction of this camera. It not only looked good, but also felt solid in my hand....
