GRD II is a light camera that produces high quality picture, it has a big aperture (f/2.4) so you can take good pictures under low light. I take pictures whenever I eat out, in the restaurant you don't really get too much light but this camera does a pretty good job.

A point and shoot with a fixed lens? I think ricoh gr is more than that. It gives you aperture priority, full manual mode, big aperture.. etc. I take a lot of pictures of kids and this camera can get the most precise of the skin color of those kids, I love it!
