Light, compact, easy to use
Strengths: great zoom
Weakness: iso noise is excessive
like the camera and the photos. The zoom is good and unheard of for a camera this size. easy to use even without reading the manual. One problem, it comes with a rechargeable battery# Li-ion EN-EL11 but...I can't find anyone who sells it yet (I like a backup battery). I absolutely adore my new S550 Coolpix! Everything you want is packed into this tiny camera - 10 megapixels (yes - you can mage humongous photos out of it), 5x optical zoom where in other cameras this goes only to 3x. I got this camera few days ago with a complimentary 2 flash memory. Since then I keep amazing myself by exploring the features. Size, pictures and video quality are the top factors to buy it. Very convenient for a person like me who doesn't like carrying heavy stuff in pockets or hands but yet having all the mighty features.
