Strengths: Small & Cute
Weakness: Very little battery life, Breaks down all the time, Zero customer service
Nice cute camera, but everone I know thats had one, only had problems. There is terrible customer service, which makes their gurantee worth almost nothing.
Strengths: Good battery life, scene assist modes are great for quick shots, good manual features, takes beautiful macro.
Weakness: Sometimes the flash takes a little long to recharge.
This is a great camera, I bought it because of the 15 scene modes, the fact that it is a Nikon, and its high ratings everywhere. People complain a lot about the battery life, but I get a long time off of some 1960 maH nimh batteries, even when I am using the flash. Sd cards are cheap I got a 256 MB sd card for 25$ and it holds around 170 highest resolution pictures. Great outdoor photos, really...
Strengths: Excellent Picture Quality, uses less battery power, easy to use
Weakness: Takes a wee bit long for capturing hi-res pics
This has got to be the best buy I ever made. And I always wanted a Nikon. I am recommending this to everybody I know. I've already experimented a lot with this. It captures amazing pictures of all kinds, outdoors, indoors, close-ups , everything. The picture quality is fantastic, even the most basic mode (0.3 MP) comes out very neat for close ups. I've actually compared the picture quality to...
Strengths: Great camera if you're new to the whole digital camera thing, my mother loved it. Programmed auto settings for different location or occasions. Movie & sound are excellent, shutter button auto focus.
Weakness: LCD screen is a little grainy when first turned on, but it clears up. And that's pretty much it.
This camera is all you want and more. Friendly for all levels of photographers, even those totally new to the whole digital revolution. I can't say enough about this camera, software is easy to use for instant upload. It comes with small amount of installed memory, just incase you forgot your memory card it's not a total loss. However, the memory card is an instant added expense. Although it is...
Strengths: Excellent picture quality and ease of use, compact
Weakness: None
I looked at several makes and models and the bottom line was between Nikon & Canon. I have owned both Nikon SLRs and Canon SLRs. Both work very good. However, the picture quality of the Nikon Coolpix was better than even the Canon Powe Shot A80 which is 4 megapixel. As far as battery is concerned, all digital cameras guzzle up batts. I have had experience with several in the past. Use...
Strengths: clear, vivid sharp pictures, beautiful close ups with macro, excellent camera in all! THE ONE U WANT!
Weakness: LCD gets a bit dim in sunlight but no biggy, and write is is sorta slow bout 3-5 secs.
EXCELLENT CAMERA! u get what u want in a compact design! GREAT PHOTOS, excellent quality, i have to say it is one of the best, everything about it is great, i love the 15 scene modes and the uploading also the superb picture quailty, they look like they were taken with a pro, better than that crap sony which gives u washed out colors(not ur choice), this one gives u stndard or vivid colors (ur...
Strengths: small size, great pictures, movie mode WITH ZOOM (yes, with ZOOM!), easy to use, AF Illuminator, beautiful close-ups
Weakness: some distortion and noise in the images, problems with low lighting, flash recharging time, shutter lag
This is my second digicam. A wonderful camera with good picture quality (that's Nikon). The noise level in low light conditions is a bit high but if you use the flash, the pictures come out fine. Even in total darkness, the flash pictures are sharp and clear, thanks to the AF assist light. Beautiful macro shots (close-ups), the best I've seen. Did I tell you about the movie mode? The reviews say...
Strengths: Light weight, compact, sharp, accurate images.
Weakness: write time for saving images
So far I love this camera. Image quality is excellent. The software that comes with the package is robust and user friendly. The write time (lag) seems long especially on highest resolution. However, with the size, weight, and capacity with a 256MB card, I carry the camera everwhere I go. Definitely a keeper.
Strengths: Very good image quality in bright daylight. Fairly fast shutter speeds in daylight. A variety of 'nifty' and useful features. Good price, overall great bang for the buck. Good battery life.
Weakness: Flash takes a goodly while to recharge, LCD is a tad dim in bright sunlight. Pictures which need a flash assist, but which are outside of the flash's range can be a bit tricky.
My opinion on this camera after having researched in out very thoroughly, and having taken a few hundred pictures and movies is that this is one sweet camera! In good lighting the pictures are excellent, of extremely good quality, it has a marvelous macro mode for taking beautiful pictures of close up things, and if you have a tripod for night or indoors when you can't use the flash, it does a...

The 3.2-megapixel Nikon Coolpix 3200, announced in January 2004, is popular among photographers new to the digital format. With its 1/2.7-inch CCD, the Coolpix 3200 is aimed at entry-level point-and-shoot users who will appreciate the automatic functionality and minimal expertise required. At about $200, the 3200 at the less expensive end of the Coolpix line, mainly due to its smaller LCD screen...

The low end of Nikon's Coolpix line of digital cameras have done a good job of applying technical sophistication behind the scenes, letting novice users bring back good-looking photos from a wide range of shooting situations. The Coolpix 3200 is the latest 3 megapixel, 3x zoom model in the line, replacing last year's 3100 model. It has great-looking color, but a bit more contrast than I...

I would not recommend this camera
Strengths: Compact size is convenient
Weakness: Poor picture quality
I have owned this camera for one year and the performance has been awful. I get better pictures with a $10 35mm camera I bought to keep on my boat in case it got wet. I first experienced problems when I tried to download pictures onto my computer. The camera would not download. I called Nikon and they told me to buy a card reader. Not much help there. I bought the card reader and was able to...
