Strengths: Fast and compact
Weakness: None
I took a chance on this camera after reading as much about it as I could. I could have gone with the better brands and possibly even paid less for a 5MP camera, but I chose not to. This camera has NOT been a disappointment to me at all. It is fast and the quality of the pictures are phenominal. It is very light and very portable. I liked the small size but was concerned whether I would be able to...
Strengths: SPEED+related technology (go to the Kyocera website), pictures turned out really nice, and size.
Weakness: Like a lot of the other digital cameras out there: night shooting.
Size was a big decision factor. I have no regrets about this camera. Feels durable, easy to navigate through the menu and when taking picture of kids, this camera will rise above the rest (Speed, speed, speed, really go to their website and also Steve's digicam). I took it on my vacation and it exceeded expectations (prints turned out nice.) Good luck!
Strengths: Small, and price is cheap for a 5mp camera. Paid $177 at Fry's electronic
Weakness: Poor color rendering, autofocus is often out of whack. Skin tone is very unnatural. This camera does not work well when flash is needed. Outdoor picture is fine
Compare to Sony and Kodak, this camera does need a lot of work. But if you are in the market for a cheap camera, this will do
Strengths: 5MP pixels
Weakness: a little big
Life just seems to get faster and faster. So we made a camera that could keep up. The Kyocera S5R features our exclusive RTUNE technology, i like it
Strengths: Fast Shot to Shot speed. Solid metal construction. Fast Continous Shots: 3shots/sec until SD card is full.
Weakness: Poor battery life. Camera gets warm to the touch after a while.
This camera is one of the fastest ones around. It takes images at 3 frames per second until the SD memory card is full. The all-metal construction feels solid and exudes quality. Picture quality is decent and does not seem as saturated as the SONY W5. The supplied Charger seems very slow: about 5hrs to charge the lithium battery.
Kyocera Finecam S5R Digital Camera
Strengths: Solid built, quick response time
Weakness: Fewer features than compatible models, no manual and limited aperture priority program mode
This camera is very well built and has a very quick response time. This latter advantage was clearly missing in my previous Gateway DC-T50 camera. Since I am frequently taking pictures of a child, quick response became a critical issue with the DC-T50 and I abandoned it in favor of Kyocera S5R. Glass lenses produce very nice sharp pictures (I prefer to disable digital zoom), but I found that...
