Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Picture Quailty, Durability, easy to Use, Has Video Mode (Which can hook up to your TV), Able to put in expansion Compact Flash Cards. Changeable flash modes & red-eye.

Weakness: Well the battery isnt bad but it's maybe 3-3.5 stars out of 5 for the battery. It is true it's not very good for night pictures. Has 8mb internal memory and can take only 25 shots roughly.

Great Camera I reccomend. It's a great camera for a for a new user and advanced camera too. I do highly reccomend you buyt a 64mb Flashcard, and Ald make sure you get the camera dock. 5 star camera, Honestly it is great.

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Price, picture quality, ease of use. Outstanding customer support from Kodak. It's small enough to fit in a pocket, yet even though I'm 6'3" it doesn't feel funny in my hand.

Weakness: Not XP ready-you have to download the drivers from Kodak. Not that big of a deal...it's just that this camera is essentially flawless for the price...I had to put SOMETHING.

I have researched Digital cameras for over 2 months before choosing this one. I do not regret it on bit!! With the dock, 64MB card it came out to 345.00 from Buy.com. That's value, folks! The dock makes it easy to download and email pictures. The video feature is really nice. I can take up to 5 minutes of video that can be then played on your PC via quicktime player. It's an awsome little...

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Good quality pics for 2.2 .

Weakness: Battery life. LCD very dim. Flimsy plastic case. Poor design.

Battery contacts are very poorly designed. The battery has to be removed and replaced each time before using. Memory card slot will not hold card in unless it is held manually. Compared to other cameras I would consider this one JUNK. I had a very low end HP315 before this Kodak (was stolen)which performed much better. Kodak will send me a new camera (refurb)at about the same price as most...

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Ease of picture transfer, easy to use

Weakness: Batt life, picture quality, software, customer support

I've had this camera for two and after a new baby in the family finally said, "I'm going to buy a better camera." The DX3600 can't take low light level shots of any kind. They come out either way underexposed or if the camera can actually get a fix (ie no yellow flashing light) the picture comes out slightly overexposed with bad colors. And if you want to crop the pictures on the Kodak software,...

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Takes Great ouside, bright daylight pictures. Works well with NIMH rechargable batteries. LCD screen is bright. Software is adequate.

Weakness: Terrible night/inside pictures. I refused to but docking station ($79). Zoom is inadequate.

This is a good starter digital camera. You could get the same quality out of a throw away 35mm. The zoom is in adequate for just about everything.

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Decent automatic

Weakness: Shutter switch failure

The camera takes good pics for what you pay for. The only problem that I've had is the slider switch, to turn on, is extremely touchy. I've seen other people having similar problems with this model, so buyer beware. Also to repair the camera would cost as much as a new better one.

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Good Photo Quality. Useful amount of Internal Memory. Durable Structure. Simple Easy to Use Interface.

Weakness: Low Sound Quality on Movies. Below par pictures in low or inadequate lighting.

I am running Windows XP, 1.4 GhZ and 40 Gig Hard drive. This camera is good, pure and simple. I read many reviews here, and at dcresource.com. After many weeks I decided this was the best buy. I paid $150 at a wholesaler. CAMERA DOCK IS NOT NECESSARY!. PERFECT camera for most "point and shoot" photography for family or novices. I am sure there are better out there, but this is PERFECT for the...

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Image quality, battery life, "movie" capabilities, point'n'shoot ease, simple download via card or USB, light weight

Weakness: awkward for big fingers to handle, view screen tends to pick up finger and nose prints, limited flexibility in terms of controls for lighting, depth of field, etc.

I've been an amateur photographer and Nikon man for 30 yrs. This is an excellent camera and exceptional value! Image quality rivals 35mm, ease of use is unexpected. There are many menu based options to easily manage your preferences. The "movie" capability which creates Quick-time files is incredible. My 35mm Nikons and Sony 8mm video cameras are on the shelf. Kodak is reinventing its film...

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Appearance, Simplicity, Easy Dock recharge and download

Weakness: Horrible night shots at sporting games, freezing software, bulky looking

This is a great camera for the day time. But at night or dark places, images don't even come up. In the Staples center, it's very bright, but when the flash is on, pics are dark because the camera unintelligently compensates for the flash and not it's enviornment. Even if it is bright enough, the flash will make the subjects dark. Basically, this camera sucks at night. But day shots are great. If...

Kodak DX3600

Strengths: Durable product structure

Weakness: Slow, unreliable, doesn't charge the battery well, docking station not worth the money, Kodak customer service was terrible

Conditioning the battery has never worked, Kodak customer service was not helpful. Battery level on the screen says it is good - but you take a few pictures and set it down for 20 minutes and the next time you try to take a picture it just flashes red at you. Extremely dissatisfied!
