Strengths: good quality in both build and performance.
Weakness: None that concern me except what I'll mention in my comment
This is my third Fuji and though it's too early to say for sure, this one seems every bit as good as both my others. And they were very good. But I almost bought another s9000 for the double A batteries and compact flash card. Big mistake on Fujis part to change that with this camera. If it had double A's and a compact flash card I'd give it a 6 on a scale of 5.
Strengths: image quality and build quality
Weakness: battery
I bought this camera from Buydig about a month ago and they fired it right out with no hassles. Good job Buydig!! This camera is a beauty. I'm very happy I bought this camera. I almost talked myself out of it because of some professional reviews that I read. I am glad I ventured forth because I really like this camera. The image quality of this camera is better than any point and shoot I have...
Strengths: great optical zoom, excellent low light, easy to use, deep feature set for advanced user, all in one
Weakness: chromatic aberation in strong highlites, auto white balance sometimes misses the mark, Raw data software
For someone who wants all the features of a DSLR kit, just as much lens power as a two lens kit, and excellent resolution, at a low cost, without the hassle and risk of changing lenses, this is the one to pick. Read the manual; this camera is capable of everything that you want a camera to do (if YOU are capable). Buy an extra battery. After thousands of images I have nothing but praise for this...
Strengths: Fast to turn on, and focus. The control buttons are easy to reach and use. Large adjustable LCD.
Weakness: Weight of the camera and length of the lens. The center of gravity is ahead of the camera body.
The reason I bought this camera is it has a fixed lens with a lot of zoom. Therefore there is no need to change/carry an extra lens. Also there is less chance of dust or dirt getting into the camera. I like to shoot landscapes in many different ways while traveling around the world. If you like to shoot fast action or special subjects requiring special lenses this is probably not the camera for...
Strengths: Versatile, moveable LCD screen with live view, good zoom, excellent controls/menus, long life battery (over 500 pics) on the first charge, outstanding in good conditions
Weakness: Mediocre performance in low light, modest shutter response time, only fair color accuracy
Good camera for a point-and-shoot upgrade. Does a good job under most conditions, but is overrated in low light. For the price it's an acceptable buy, but performance is average at best, particularly compared to other models at competetive prices. It's easy to operate and I'm sure Fuji will improve on this handy model.
Strengths: 14.3X zoom, 11 MP sensor, SLR like lens, SDHC capacity, bright rear LCD, standard 67 mm Filters w/o any adapters
Weakness: CA/PF -- taking fast shots without composing and against high contrast backdrops will produce it, proprietary battery.
Aside from the PF, this is a DSLR like camera. The picture quality rivals what I saw coming from a Nikon D60. Fix the PF problem and I would give this camera an unequivocal 5 star rating
Strengths: can be used for everything, movies, stills, closeups, telephoto, all in one camera
Weakness: autofocus in telephoto a little slow on moving subject.
I can't think of a better camera for the money today in a bridge camera. I tried several other's before buying this one and never looked back. Picture's are excellent, movie mode is good, manual zoom won me over, handling the camera is a real pleasure, fits the hand great, very well made and rugged looking, easy to use features, of which there are many. I sold my DSLR to buy this and feel I made...
The Fujifilm FinePix S100fs is aimed at those who want more versatility than a compact digital camera can offer, without the hassle and investment in interchangeable lenses required bydSLRs. The plastic body is smaller and lighter than most dSLR cameras, and features a 14x optical zoom lens and flip-out/swivel LCD panel on the rear. In addition to the LCD users have the option of using the...

The Fujifilm S100fs is a nice camera, no doubt about that, with nice and useful functions like the excellent face detection. You don't get dust on the sensor, one of the main annoyances with DSLR cameras. And even though you don’t get the same depth of image reproduction as an SLR offers, the S100fs is still excellent to use for enlargements and print jobs. Still, the camera has a tad too many...

You can tell the Fujifilm S100FS is no ordinary long zoom digital camera the minute you take it out of the box. With a big 28-400mm equivalent zoom lens, it has the build of a digital SLR. It operates like one, too, with a manual zoom ring and buttons instead of menu items to get to oft-used functions. But the Fujifilm S100FS is not a digital SLR. You compose your shots via the tilting LCD or...

The Fuji FinePix S100fs is a very intriguing camera. It has an SLR-like design, a larger-than-average CCD, a heck of a zoom range, image stabilization, and an articulating LCD display. Image quality is better (in most respects) than your typical super zoom camera, though it's not quite as good as what a D-SLR can produce. The S100fs has its share of negatives, including purple fringing and poor...

The bridge-style Fujifilm FinePix S100FS compact camera seems to offer everything that you get in a DSLR camera, and more. There’s a 28-400mm lens which should cover most eventualities, 11 megapixel sensor, RAW mode, tilting LCD screen, and a full range of creative shooting modes. And that’s not even scratching the surface. Gavin Stoker got to grips with the Fujifilm S100FS to find out if it...

ditto
Strengths: I'm of the same mind as N/A the first reviewer. This is my third Fuji and I've tried all the other big names
Weakness: none that affect me
Again I'm going to say ditto to the first review. What they were thinking when they eliminated two features that would have make this a 6 on a scale of 5 I'm scratching a hole in my head wondering. The elimination of the double A's and the changing out the compact flash makes no sense at all.
