Strengths: Very easy to use, and it has a powerful optical zoom (6X). It handles well, and most controls are easy to decipher. So far, most pictures have come out clear, with good color.
Weakness: The delay takes some getting used to, especially with action shots. It is not as compact as some models. It didn't include an AC power adapter, but it is available.
This is my 2nd digital camera. I like the use of AA batteries, as this was a problem with the 1st camera that I disliked very much. It takes pics comparable to my 35mm SLR, and I can pick what I want to keep and delete. I bought it at Circuit City for $169.99, and even with an extra 64mb picture card, I was out the door for less than $230. I think that's an incredible bargain for the features it...
Strengths: Easy to use, fits the hands very well, very nice quality pictures, great deal for the price
Weakness: the slow shutter speed may stop you from catching those quick special moments, also there is no manual focus, hard to take good, low light pictures
I got this camera on clearance for a very good price. The camera is lightweight, and is shaped so that it does not feel awkward to hold like other digital cameras. I popped in the 4 AA batteries that came with the camera, and as I played with it, I noticed that even after an hour, the batteries were still running strong. The pictures I have taken so far have been beautiful, except sometimes it is...
Strengths: Very compact and sophisticated looking without the sophisticated price
Weakness: none noted at this time
This is my first digital camera and it was very user friendly, even I had no problems figuring it out. Great camera for the price. It looks very expensive and complicated, but it is not. Great camera out there compared to its competitors. I would highly recommend this product.
Strengths: Easy to use; picture quality comparable to SLRs; good set of features.
Weakness: Size is little bigger to carry around; may want to use rechargable battery for cost effectiveness; no AC adopter included.
This camera provides probably the best value in terms of features/capabilities and price. Zoom capability is excellen both in shoot as well as play mode. You may have to buy additional memory card.
Strengths: Unpackaged the camera and found it was very simple to use. Good instructions and only a few optional settings to learn.
Weakness: Difficult to steady camera and take clean pictures. Probably will take some getting used to. Using a tripod seems to guarantee good quality pics.
Overall nice size and lightweight. Battery life seems ok. Good zoom capabilities for the price. This is the first digital camera we've purchased and once I figure out the blurred pictures now and then I'll be satisfied.
Strengths: easy to learn basic picture taking (auto mode) and the optional features just take some time and practice to learn.
Weakness: The electronic viewfinder is the camera's weakest link.
I thought the electronic viewfinder would be a plus, but now I am most displeased with this feature. In low light situations (where an optical viewfinder would be good) the image was much too dark, so as to be unusable. After readjusting the LCD brightness from its factory (mid) setting, the image in low light was dark but usable but in normal/outdoor light, the images were washed out and again...
Strengths: Excellent feel in my hands. Misplacement of fingers almost impossible. Very good optical telephoto. Instruction manual was very clear and easy to understand and use.Easy on, easy off lens cap.
Weakness: Slight reddish tint to viewfinder and LCD screen. Would have preferred a clearer optical system. Not a big deal.
I've used a Polaroid PDC700 for the last three years. It was my entry level into digital photography. A very basic camera. During that time I had the oportunity to listen to the comments of others who owned very good Kodak and Olympus digital cameras. One of the complaints was that they only had 3x telephoto lenses. I made note of that and made a more powerful lens one of my requirements. This...
Strengths: This camera was very easy to learn, I was able to use it immediately. I used it at the circus the next day and the pictures came out great.
Weakness: A little bigger than most digital cameras.
I tried to do research on digital cameras and only got more confused, opened this camera up and was completely satisfied. Definately recommend this camera to beginners.
Strengths: Great design and excellent pics
Weakness: Slow reset after taking pics and low battery life
This is my 3rd digital camera. With 3.2 MP it has enough resolution for my needs. I paid $208 at Electric Sams. They were excellent and I'm very happy with the camera.

Fujifilm FinePix S3000 3.2 Megapixel Bridge Camera
Strengths: Easy to use. 6X optical zoom. Auto matically eliminates the digital zoom on high resolution. Bright viewfinder. SLR. I like the adapter and 55mm filter ring. A very versitile camera for the money
Weakness: None, consider the price of $169. Not all the options of a $900+ camera, but I didn't expect that.
I am very pleased with the purchase of this camera. The pictures are great. The instruction book is deatailed and easy to read. I am able to use many of the filters that I purchased for my 35 mm SLR.
