Strengths: Well built metal case, easy to use logical controls, very compact size, light weight, long battery life (lithium-ion), highly rated by Digital Photography Review (www.dpreview.com). Good User Guide.
Weakness: The software shipped with the camera (ZoomBrowser EX 3.3), and the installation manual, are very poor. Could not make the ZoomBrowser work with Windows 98SE to download images.
Excellent all around camera choice for anyone who does not need TIFF (uncompressed) files. Battery, battery charger, and one 8MB CF card are included. Buying a higher capacity card is a must.

I did a lot of digital camera research prior to selecting the S330. The camera basically has everything I was looking for: 2.1 megapixel, 3X optical zoom, small size, used multimedia cards, rechargeable lithium ion battery, and it has the Canon quality. It also does not require a separate lens cap that I find to be annoying and pain in the butt to deal with. I found it for $250 over the internet...

The perfect camera to keep in your pocket. Easy to use, can do many tricks. Good zoon lense. Loads of features. The Canon software, however, is clumsy and often crashes. The camera will sometimes freeze and stop working when it's cold.

A very nice overall camera. I enjoy taking the movies too except sometimes movie stops at some arbitrary duration. Good playback and excellent photographs in the medium quality itself. I'm an average camera user: lots of family/friend pictures, a few scenic shots, etc. Now I click away with abandon, and later erase any bad shots. This camera makes me look like a pro (after deleting any bad pictures) especially for outdoor pictures, and with a white balance adjustment is also great for indoor, fluorescent-lit pictures. Unfortunately the battery dies quickly, and a spare battery...
