I would recommend this to anyone who has and older dock or printer and wants functionality with the newer easyshare cameras. Simply snap on to existing dock or printer and you are ready to use the newer camera.

A great idea from kodak, this allows you to update your old printer dock to accept a newer model camera. It is very easy to install and charges your camera as well as linking it to your pc to download pics. Great idea.

For just a few dollars, this simple adapter allowed us to use our old Kodak Easyshare Printer Dock 6000 with a newly purchased Kodak Easyshare P712 camera. With the help of Kodak's 'Printer Dock Compatibility Chart' (found through the Kodak website), we saved some money by avoiding having to purchase an altogether new print dock.
Strengths: Very easy to install, works perfectly, extra cables are nice, very reasonably priced
Weakness: Connected camera wobbles slightly as there's no raised edge as before (for maximum camera compatibility)
I needed this as my DX6440 died, and I bought a new C743 but wanted to keep using my Printer Dock. The adapter was very easy to install; just pop out the existing mount (specific to the DX6440) and snap this one in. The only negative was that the new surface is generic (flat), so the C743 is held there only by the connector and no mount with raised edges. I believe this was done to maximize...

Strengths: Saves money by adapting your present Kodak dock or printer to be compatible with newer generation Kodak cameras and photo viewer.
Weakness: Stacked adapters start to look like a full order of pancakes. Custom camera adapter required.
Adapter is straight forward installation. Universal camera adapter is no longer any good. The custom camera adapter is now a requirement. Savings over buying a newer series 3 photo printer or camera dock is considerable. Kodak's on-line store is running a 10% off accessories sale and free shipping for the month of June. Tax will still be charged.

I recently upgraded my Kodak camera to a P850. After receiving it I found that although it is compatible with the Easyshare dock I had to have an adapter for it. There's not much to say about the adapter kit itself, if you want to use the dock for one of the newer cameras you have to have it.
