Description
The GZ-MG335 30GB Hybrid HDD/Micro SD Camcorder from JVC adds to the allure of the entry level MG330, by including an Everio Dock. This dock sets the MG335 apart because it not only charges the camera, but it connects to your PC or Everio Share Station for transferring files or burning DVDs without having to run cables to the camcorder. Like the others in this product line, it comes with a 1/6" CCD image sensor, working in tandem with the Gigabrid Engine to provide high quality video and stills every time you shoot. And, let's not forget that the 30GB hard disk drive provides up to 37 and a half hours of recording time.

THE GOOD: Attractive price; compact design; holds hours of video. THE BAD: No eye-level viewfinder, mic input, or headphone jack; persistent video compression artifacts. THE BOTTOM LINE: The near-identical models of the JVC Everio GZ-MG300 series--the MG330, MG335, MG360 and MG365--are budget-priced, hard-drive-based camcorders that are nice enough, but produce typical low-budget video.

Nice machine for the beginners
Strengths: Small, don't need tapes. Right price.
Weakness: night shooting quality isn't that good
Just bought one and tried it out. Small size. You can choose the film to be taken at 16:9 or 4:3. Blue laser touch pad is cool. You might need to buy extra battery for it since the one that comes with machine use up fairly quality. Easy backup to PC. Haven't tried the backup to DVD. The picture quality is OK. Night shooting quality isn't that good. It is an OK camcorder with such low price.
