Could Be More Reliable
Strengths: Very fast rewinding. Easy to use. Small profile. Comes with AC adapter. Low Price.
Weakness: Tape gets jammed in the unit frequently. Very loud operation.
I'm having trouble with the tape jamming upon the rewind start-up. I have to pull the tape out and carefully spool a small amount of tape back into the cartridge. I feel uneasy about using it with my treasured family movies. I think the problem may be related to the internal gears not engaging properly. I'm thinking that if spending an extra $20 or so more on another unit will avoid this problem,...

Found this rewinder to be a simple "machine". It is noisy and does not indicate with a red light given that it is on when plugged in until you insert a cam tape. Would have really liked a rewinder that had a Counter to figure out approximately where one was in rewinding, etc. The product is fine for the price. Strengths: Very fast rewind.
Weakness: Putting tape in requires patience.
The Kinyo KV-822 8mm rewinder save time, wear and tear on my camcorder. It rewinds very fast although a little noisy, but not enough to give it a negative rating. Satisfied with how it works.

Weakness: Noisy
The KV-822 8mm rewinder works pretty fast, but is quite noisy. The tape is inserted label first, which is a bit hard getting used to. Most are inserted tape side first. We were wondering if the Maxell for a couple of bucks more would have been a better rewinder.

Weakness: It is not a weakness, but if they reduce the noise, it would be really great.
The product works great. If you could able to add the play back apart from forward and rewind, it would be really nice. Also, please try to reduce the noise while rewinding.
